Saint Alexander’s Faith Formation program is an ongoing invitation to the life-long journey of relationship, love, and service to our God, His message, and His people. This journey is family-centered with special attention to our children in grades Pre-K through Grade 12, inclusive of the sacraments of Holy Communion, Reconciliation, and Confirmation.
As we begin a new journey each year, we want the communication between families and the Faith Formation program to be open and consistent, being available to your suggestions and needs. We will strive to model and extend the joy and love of our God in every lesson to our children and families. All lessons will begin with prayer. In addition, another goal is to provide parent, child, and catechist faith-sharing experiences along the way.
Along with Father Rosenbaum, Deacons, families, and ministries, we extend a loving invitation to begin our journey. We look forward to serving you and your family with the Good News of Jesus as we grow in faith together.
Faith Formation Registration
Registration Opens July 10, 2024.
Classes are September 15, 2024 – May 4, 2025
Class Times
Preschool – 1st: Sundays 8:30am – 9:30am (includes mass)
2nd Grade: Sundays 8:30am – 10:15am (includes mass)
3rd – 5th Grade: Sundays 9:30am – 10:15am
6th – 9th Grade: Sundays 4:30pm – 5:45pm

Tuition and Fees
Tuition: $150.00 per family
Material Fee: $20.00 per child
Sacramental Fee: $50.00 per child (maximum of $150 per family)
First Holy Communion – 2nd Grade and older children, if needed
Confirmation – 8th Grade and older children, if needed
$150 Tuition (per family) + Material Fee (per child) + Sacramental Fee (per child)
Example: 2 children and 1 child making First Communion
$150 + (2 x $20) + (1 x $50) = $240 Total

Preparing for Sacraments
The diocese of Joliet has a two-year preparation program for the reception of the Sacraments. Reconciliation and Communion are generally received in 2nd grade and Confirmation in 8th grade.
Preparation for any of the Sacraments is through 12th grade in the Faith Formation Program. All ages are welcome.
Volunteering
Families are encouraged to volunteer in the Faith Formation program in various areas. For the safety of our children, All volunteers are required to have Protecting God’s Children training.
